When i check my Download and upload speeds they are viii for Download, and upload is 1 Mbps, merely when im actually downloading a game, its at 900-600 kbps (yes, i made sure to check the download settings on the clients to make sure they weren't capped and they weren't) so why is this happening?
i also don't know much well-nigh how internet works, so plz explain.
Thank you!

The smax speed of your cyberspace is 8 mbps which is viii mega $.25 per second. What y'all see when you are downloading is that speed converted to KBps, which is kilo byte per 2nd. viii mbps max is 1000 KBps max. With the overhead accounted for, 600-900 KBps is very skillful and y'all are getting what you have been promised.

ya thats right. 8 Mb/s is 1 MB/s so 600-900 Kbps is correct.

I believe y'all're misunderstanding the reply. ISPs give download/upload specs in mega*bits*. Generally speaking, when you lot're downloading an actual file, you're seeing a speed in mega*bytes*. It takes eight bits to make a byte, so you should expect max download speeds in megabytes to be approximately one/8th of the rated download speed in megabits.
